Elias makes his principal artist debut with Victorian Opera as Gary in Christopher Sainsbury’s new opera The Visitors, which tells the story of the early days of colonialism and its impact on Australia’s First Peoples.

SYDNEY, NSW: Sweeney Todd with Victorian Opera
Elias appears in the ensemble in Victorian Opera’s production of Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd. Elias also covers the roles of Beadle Bamford and Adolfo Pirelli.

Melba Opera Trust is Australia’s premier scholarship program for young opera singers and repetiteurs.

Melba Opera Trust 2022 vocal artists Samantha Hargreaves (soprano), James Emerson (bass baritone) and Elias Wilson (tenor) perform alongside pianist Su Choung (piano) as part of the Loreto Cultural Series.

Mozart Requiem with Illawarra Choral Society
Conducted by the society’s new Musical Director, Dr Carlos Alvarado, Elias appears as tenor soloist alongside Sydney Conservatorium colleagues Jeremy Boulton, Cassandra Doyle and Lana Kains.
“The Requiem is a choral masterpiece and has been described as an extraordinary piece of music, condensing a vast realm of emotions into the performance. It is thought that at the time Mozart began composing the Requiem his health was deteriorating and he believed that this would be his ‘swansong’.”

St Paul’s Anglican Church: Sesquicentenary Orchestral Mass
Elias sings the Tenor Solo in Mozart’s Coronation Mass (Krönungsmesse) as part of St Paul’s Burwood’s first ever Orchestral Mass, celebrating their 150th year.

OPERA: A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Britten)
Elias appears as Lysander in Britten’s adaptation of the Shakespeare classic. A co-production of the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, the University of Sydney.
